BADSISTA (Brazil)
April 2024
AUS TOUR

Badsista’s career took off with their debut release, “Bad$ista Mixtape,” before continuing to make waves with their EP “Gueto Club” on Tratratrax, featuring the single “Machooka,” which quickly became hotly-traded amongst the USBs of the world DJ circuit. With TraTraTrax crowned Resident Advisor’s 2022 Label of the Year, Badsista is working with all of the right people, and it’s obvious that they’re just warming up.

In their music, Badsista draws inspiration from the vibrant energy and diverse culture of São Paulo, infusing their tracks with a sense of place and identity not often explored across the pond in Australia. Outside of their production and performances, Badsista is a co-founder of the collective BANDIDA, throwing parties in São Paulo that showcase female artists in addition to teaching women of marginalised backgrounds how to DJ and produce using affordable hardware.

Badsista’s Australian tour promises to be a celebration of their groundbreaking music, with performances in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and at Perth-based festival Hi-Fest, where Badsista will join a lineup of top-tier international and Australian artists, bringing their unique sound to the festival stage. Each show will be an opportunity for audiences to experience their infectious rhythms, and a sound that is both fresh and deeply rooted in their cultural heritage, making them a must-see act for fans of electronic music and beyond.

Umfang (USA)

February 2024

AUS, NZ, & SK TOUR

Umfang has swiftly risen to prominence in the underground techno sphere with performances at prestigious venues like Berghain while still in her twenties, a feat she had envisioned for
much later in her career. Her music journey began in earnest while attending college in Kansas City, where she was introduced to techno at a warehouse party that left a lasting impact on her.
Umfang is not just a DJ and producer; she’s also a founding member of Discwoman, a collective and platform dedicated to promoting and supporting female-identifying talent in electronic music. She has been instrumental in creating more inclusive spaces within the music scene, and her influence extends to the Technofeminism parties, which shine a spotlight on underrepresented talents. Her work with Discwoman and Technofeminism has been a transformative force in electronic music, fostering a more inclusive and representative community on and off the dance floors.

Her upcoming tour in 2024 presents an exciting array of performances across different countries. The tour kicks off in South Korea with a performance alongside Objekt and CCL, then moves to Australia, before concluding in New Zealand, but not before a trip to Adelaide to celebrate Ancient World’s 10 Year Anniversary. This tour not only showcases her international appeal but also affirms her commitment to creating immersive musical experiences for a wide-ranging audience.

CEM (Germany)

Rescheduled

AUS TOUR

Forged in the firest of Herrensauna's infamous underground parties, CEM has built himself into a pillar of subversive appraoches to dance music.

CEM's unique brand of emotive and sonic hysteria has lead to him becoming one of the event series’ three core members, and has been at the helm since its genesis. His style is marked by a preference for UK-flavoured tracks and a mix of harder club works, with a flair for breakbeats and intense moments before he pulls the floor from you and brings out the moody and melancholy.

CEM's background in queer club culture and a punk upbringing in Vienna deeply influences his DJing, creating a presence that commands attention on the dancefloor and pulls audiences in with its gravity.

The sheer pace of Herrensauna's preferred grade of techno is offset by his enigmatic presence and selection. He walks this knife edge gracefully, pushing and pulling listeners in new directions. Australia’s crowds won’t know what hit them.

NOTE: Due to injury, CEM’s tour is being rescheduled to later in 2024.

μ-ZIQ (United Kingdom)
September 2022
AUS TOUR

Things are bound to get weird. μ-Ziq (aka Mike Paradinas) is a visionary within electronic music. A forefather of braindance/IDM, μ-Ziq began producing in the early 90s, sonically landing somewhere between breakcore, hazy future-pop and IDM. μ-Ziq will be performing Live A/V shows at Infinity Worm, Canberra’s premier experimental electronic music festival, as well an intimate nightclub show at Melbourne’s Miscellania.

Having released on Warp and Rephlex Records throughout the 90s and later going on to produce a full length album with Aphex Twin in 1996, Mike Paradinas today runs Planet Mu, a record label which straddles the line between commercial viability and avant-garde electronic. Planet Mu releases IDM, breakcore, dubstep, footwork, and everything in between from pioneering artists including Venetian Snares, Jlin, Konx-Om-Pax, and DJ Manny. When asked about the sound of Planet Mu, u-Ziq keeps it vague: “it’s quite nerdy”.

Artists of this pedigree don't come through Canberra often. We’re delighted to have Mike play Infinity Worm’s debut.
